Practise is cancelled tonight, we will go to Tuesday and Thursday this week 6:00 - 8:00

Practise #2 - Wednesday Aug 14

Good work last night everybody, the equipment distribution went very well, nice and smooth with not too many issues.

Reminder that next week practices are Monday and TUESDAY with no practice on Wednesday (get your ticket for the Team Canada vs Team Peru International Volleyball match at the DRCSS , Wednesday night).

For Monday

-          If you have a mouth guard, form it , and bring it to practice on Monday

-          If you don’t have one, get one and form it and bring it to practice on Monday

-          You can get one at practice on Monday, but it will not be formed to your mouth

-          If we get to tackling on Monday, players must have a mouth guard to participate.

-          If you have not yet got your equipment, please see Coach Ricketts on Monday, he will get you set up with gear.

Potential Quarter backs and running  backs , please have a look at some of the material on our website at http://bantamclippers.wikispaces.com/home . In particular the instructional YouTube videos, QB’s pay close attention to the footwork being demonstrated.

Also, players please fill in the following. We are looking at where people are likely to play, so we need a little background info.

Great practice tonight everybody, saw lots of hard work, and kids having fun.

Practice this Wednesday, we will start handing out equipment around 5:45 . Meet outside at the back of the school.

Practices next week will be Monday and Tuesday at 6:00.

2013 Season welcome

Welcome to the Bantam Clippers for 2013 - this looks to be a promising season, with well over 20 players interested in playing.

All news emails will be posted here, for reference, along with pictures , and videos etc. Documents such as schedules, rosters (so parents can find their kid and other kids!) are available at http://bantamclippers.wikispaces.com/home.

Please feel free to talk kto any of us, we are here to keep the kids safe, teach them some football, and have a lot of fun. At the end of the season, our win - loss record means much less than the answer to the questions "Did they learn something?" and "Did they have fun?"

Final Post for 2012

It's been quite a ride for the 2012 Bantam Clippers. I thoroughly enjoyed myself this entire season. I had a great time working with all the kids. Good luck to those moving on to he high school team next year. I am looking forward to working with the new group again next season.

What a great final league game for the team. Everyone contributed and we came away with one more win. Congratulations to all the players for a great season. All the coaching staff had a great time, and it was was amazing to see how the team really came together as a group. So much improvement from early in the year. Already thinking about next year!
